Brielle

Well life has been a little crazy since our little Brielle arrived. Here is my labor story...
I had my weekly Dr. appointment on Tuesday, March 22 in the afternoon at like 11:30. My doctor checked me to see how dilated I was, turns out I was a 3 almost a 4 and 80%. She also said the head was really low and I said no wonder I can barley even walk.... Anyways so I got home around 12:30, had lunch and put my daughter down for a nap around 1:30. Then I went into my room and decided that maybe I should start putting together my hospital bag. As I was sitting there folding some clothes I felt my first for sure contraction. I thought I had felt a few since leaving the doctors but then figured it was my imagination. I couldn't believe it. I was still only 36 weeks 5 days along. So I was starting to get a little nervous and pulled out some paper to start writing them down. And I called Spencer to tell him that I was having little contractions . He said he would leave work right away and I pretty much begged him to not come yet cause it could be hours before I needed to go to the hospital. He didn't listen to me and came home...and it sure is a good thing he did because in the 30 minutes it took him to get home my contractions had significantly increased in pain. Well he packed both our bags, put the car seat together, brought the bassinet into our room and got everything ready for grandma to stay over. We ended up leaving around 3:30, got there at 4, got checked in, got an epidural at 6, got my water broke at 7, started pushing at 9:21 and had a little baby girl at 9:23. Labor was so much faster then the first time around. And overall a lot easier. The downside was the epidural hurt a lot more this time, I had the shakes for like an hour after labor which really stunk, I missed Raegan like crazy and cried both nights I was away from her and I was a lot more nervous when Brie came out because she was so early and little. She quit breathing for a minute, the NICU had to come in and check her, she failed her first car seat test but luckily she is a happy healthy baby girl.
I am definitely still adjusting to taking care of the little girls under the age of 2 by myself til 5:30 everyday. Most of the time it is great and fairly easy because Brielle is such a good baby (so much different then Raegan was). I still haven't ventured out by myself with the two. Seems way too hard still. And Raegan has adjusted so well. She loves her little sister and is always kissing her or telling her that she loves her. Okay here is picture overload...

Here is huge me right before we left for the hospital. Yikes, I know! Rae and I hanging out waiting for some progress. And she's here!! Right after her first bath. So fresh and so clean clean! First time Raegan saw her little sister. We had Raegan come in first but we had aunt Ali come in with her to take pics. She loved her right away calling her 'my baby.' First kiss This was when Rae came to hang out with us the next day and I was so excited. It was our first night apart ever and to say I missed her was an understatement This was when we got home from the hospital and took Brie out of her car seat. Raegan was so excited to see her. And here are a couple of my favorite pictures that my sister in law took when Brie was 10 days old.

We are so happy to have 2 healthy little girls! Now if we could just get a little more sleep...

I am way late, but congrats on the new baby girl! She's is freaking adorable....and that HAIR!!! To die for. No worries about the late name change! If anyone knows what's that like, I do :-) I love the name you chose. The nickname "Elle" is one of my favorites. Don't worry about getting the name stuff back to me. You can just toss it or give it to the D.I.

Btw, did you guys come over to my neighborhood last Saturday? I was out walking the kiddos with my dad and thought I saw you guys walking to the park....but at the time, I wasn't sure if it was you because my eyes are so bad, LOL.
